This advertisement is a parody, mocking the perfection and level of flawlessness women in the kitchen are expected to be portrayed as. It is being mocked through inversion and reversing gender stereotypes. By undermining the idea of perfection and the norms liked with femininity, the concept of women’s roles and expectations is being ridiculed.

    Do you think the image analysis techniques belong on the other side of your mind-map?

    Also, how do specific details from Rezkallah’s image (the high-heels, the cow-skin rug, the girl in the pink coat) contribute to, or complicate, the overall meaning?
