EE Reflective Conversation 2

While writing the first draft of my EE, I have learned that not only is it important to have quotes from historians in this essay, but to evaluate the reliability of their opinions. My supervisor suggested I cross-check historian quotes with additional secondary sources to build a more convincing argument, as well as to negate any outstanding biases the historians may have. During my research process, I was careful to consult primary sources from both China and Taiwan, as well as accounts from parties not directly involved in the war to construct a balanced, and less biased argument. My supervisor has given me the feedback that my research has been comprehensive, but the next step will be to explicitly link the multiple causes of war to build a cohesive and fluid structure for the essay. Drawing connections between factors in a history essay is of great importance, and this will be my next goal for constructing a better essay.
