Personally, I love football as a sport! I enjoy watching it, playing it, and just the whole idea of it. Therefore, this year I tried out for a football team. I got in! We have a team of 14 great players, who are able to work together in order to build a relationship full of trust, equal effort, and fun. At first – when we didn’t know each other just yet – it was challenging for us to work together as a team. However, once we got to know each other better, we were able to recognize each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We communicated our positions in a game – everybody knew what their role was. In my opinion, working collaboratively on the field was a crucial factor that lead to our success as a team. Every player knew they could rely on their teammates, so whenever one was in a difficult situation (eg. they could not dribble through the defense of the other team), they always had somebody backing them up for an open pass. This is why I believe that effective collaboration during the game, as well as on trainings, was not only a huge benefit for the players but an accomplishment for the team as a whole.
