Justified Justifications?

When one is constantly at the top of social hierarchy, it is easy for one to judge and condemn those who are cruel to their inferiors.  Yet, when one is constantly oppressed, whose status of inferiority is brought up in every trivial action, the only outlet for them to voice their dissent is through talking down to those they deem as inferior.

Before judging the follies of those who are inferior, we must remember that the rubric for judging individuals is fluid and should be adapted accordingly.

P.S.  Treating someone like a daughter is still a form of oppression – this is why children leave their parents when they turn 18.  The acceptance of toys and gifts could thus have been a source of constant reminder of her inferior status and the fear that it could cease at the whim of the provider.
