Social inclusion
After being hardworking with our special athletes for one year, we were excited to have the annual Christmas Party held in Santai on Thursday evening.
The aim of this party was not only celebrating our achievement during the year but also encouraging our athletes to integrate into the community and society. We also took a chance to learn more about our buddies from their families, for example, asking about how their daily life is, how is their learning skills, and what is the highlight of their skills, etc. There was another organization that had helped us with the Special Olympics Badminton throughout the year was invited to our party as well. Although we did not have much communication with them in the badminton session, the party has made us get to know each other well. There were lots of activities that needed to be done with teamwork have encouraged everyone in the party to join the community we made, which furthermore to aim our inclusive society in Singapore.
