Decision making & personal engagement

Decision making

  • Evidence of planning and decision-making is clear.
  • Students discuss the challenges they experienced and the actions students took in these situations.

Personal engagement

  • Students discuss where they demonstrated creativity and where they took initiative in the process.
  • The reflection shows personal engagement with the project.

The process to make a decision on the project theme was hard but fun. I have been looking through every area of science by researching online to read some interesting articles. My initial approach to the project was about the environmental issues, which how materials have been disposed of to pollute farming soil. However, I have faced some obstacles like how to start to research it, and it was also a difficulty to do experiments during this time as well. Then, I moved my sight to be more theoretical. An idea has popped-out just a few days ago when I was watching a sci-fi TV series called Devs, that I was wandering the relationship between philosophy and physics.

In the project, I would like to use the examples from Devs to try to interpret theory itself and as well as its philosophy idea in it. To compare how the theory has been used in real-life can also make the audience easily to understand the concept. The next step that I am going to do is to gather the perspectives on the connections of philosophy and physics as many as I can. This can better help me to form my own interpretation of the topic. One of the hurdles I might have is to understand the concepts of a theory, and there will be lots of research reading need to understand and express in my own words to the audience.
