Following my EE reflection with my teacher Mr.Sharry, I introspected on the changes I would have to make and the areas we would have to improve on for next year. The first aspect that we went over was that I drifted away from the main focus of my essay. My essay was on what extent the death penalty was another form of discrimination against ethnic minorities however, I only touched on the topic later on. I expanded on certain irrelevant details. If I were to change my essay, I would add more context on the historical roots of the punishment and how that links to slavery rather than going over the general philosophical arguments towards the ordinance. I could have instead expanded on the examples I had on the evidence of racial bias. My topic should have also focused on one particular region as it would have made the examples more contextualized. Finally, I would need to work on adding the appropriate citations at locations where necessary.
