Today we planted several different plants and also made a few transplants of seedlings. We covered significant ground by splitting up into different groups to work separately on different plants. We planted several seeds of different plants from Arugula to sage to edible flowers. We also took cuttings of different basil plants we have (9 to be exact) and planted them into small individual pots of soil so they can grow larger. Cutting plants also allows them to grow bushier rather than straight up, so it was also a form of maintenance. In addition, we started growing 12 muskmelon plants, 8 mouse melon plants and 77 edible flower plants. We aim to take some of these seedlings down to our K1 buddies to help them with their gardens.
We planted 26 Arugula seeds and 50 seeds of sage but unfortunately they have not had good outcomes as they did not grow well. Our muskmelon seedlings have also been doing poorly as they have withered. On the other hand, the edible flowers and basil have had much better outcomes so we plan on taking the edible flowers and basil down to our K1 buddies.
