Today was spent transplanting many of the cuttings and seeds that had grown over the break. Today’s weather was rather miserable as it rained continuously over the session save for the last twenty minutes. However, dour weather did not impede our progress. While we could not work outside to get tools or get plants further down the garden, we quickly set off to work under the safety of a roof by transplanting:
20 basil |
22 okra |
12 eggplant
7 blue pea
2 frangipani cuttings
20 indigos cuttings
2 luffa |
After the rain started to die down, we were able to go get better tools from the toolshed, as well as see to plants growing on the far side of the garden. Overall, this was a great session! We managed to overcome some less than ideal circumstances and ultimately had a productive session of gardening. We plan to start transferring some of our plants to the infant school garden next week, as well as a future collaboration on that following Monday.
