Today’s session was dedicated to transplanting some flowers given to us. The new colourful additions were a breath of fresh air from the rows and rows of green plants we normally have. Since the flowers we got were pretty long, we were able to get around 2-3 cuttings per plant. In total we transplanted:

12 Hibiscus
20 Common lantana trans
9 Golden Pothos

We spent the rest of the session debriefing on last week’s session with the K1s. We talked about what went well and what could have gone better. We agreed that while they weren’t as rowdy as the last batch we worked with, it took some time to get them to fully engage in the activity. So, next session should have some sort of motivator to get the quiet ones to come out of their shells a little. We plan to visit the K1 gardens again in a week or two since we learned that without regular maintenance, the garden would start to die off. Hopefully the flowers will flourish!
