This week’s session was dedicated to planting seeds. Since we have used up most of our reserves for the K1s and middle school garden, it was time to replenish our stocks. Some of us headed down to the service office to pick out some seeds while the others prepared soil and seedling trays. We picked out some new seeds that piqued our interest, such as marigolds and rocket. In total, we planted:
50 slots of Italian parsley (3-4 per)
|
35 marigolds |
15 lavender |
20 cucumber |
50 slots of rocket/arugula (3-4 per) |
15 okra |
15 egg plants |
While some of us were busy planting seeds, the other gardeners set off to help transplant some papaya and primrose cuttings. We transplanted 14 papayas and 5 primroses in total.
