Healthy Living – January

30th January

GOAL: To improve my skills in badminton and use it to give me exercise and a way to improve my overall well-being.

This month, I have played against my coach many times so I can continue improving my ability to apply techniques during gameplay. I also went for the tryouts and was pleasantly surprised because the atmosphere was very calm and not serious at all. Since it was more like a friendly casual competition I was able to try my best even though I was a little nervous and managed to play against many different types of people who were at different levels than me.

For my growth in badminton, I think I have improved a lot compared to when I first began and even though I have a lot more room for improvement, I am happy with my progress so far because of my previous lack of willingness to do more physical activity than what was compulsory.

I have also signed up for track this season to try and further increase variety in how I exercise, and I am also quite interested in short distance running because i really enjoy sprinting.

In conclusion, I feel like my physical condition has improved and I am able to play games for longer without getting as tired. Next month I will be able to find out if I made the team and I can start playing with other people around my level and learn with a different coach.
