eNovelist Internship VS Spacebar Films Writer

eGlobal Creative Publishing: a website that pushes pieces of their employed writers – these writers go on to publish eBooks in two separate places twice a month. No salary listed (I’ll just accept that I’ll be broke for the rest of my life, as long as I’m doing what I love :))

Requirements:

– writing in American or British English
– solid writing skills and strong sense of creativity, expression and imagination
– firm grasp of expected punctuation, grammar, syntax, tense, story continuity
– interested to write in one of these genres: Contemporary Romance, Werewolf/Vampire Fantasy, Video Games, Fantasy Romance or Sci-fi.
– ability to write at least 2000 words a day
– able to keep an open mind and listen to constructive criticism that may lead to modifying parts of your story

What they need (in lieu of resume):

– a 2000 word minimum writing sample or link to a published work from you
(it can be in a form of blog, story from online platforms like Wattpad, eBook on Amazon or similar platform)
– description of your writing experience
– your contact details (Skype, WeChat, email address)

The second internship is at a media company called Spacebar Films, who are looking for a writer to pitch scripts.

You should be as imaginative as you are good with words. We are looking for someone who can transform their ideas into video proposals and scripts. The ideal candidate will be an expert wordsmith and storyteller that can showcase our video content in a compelling way. The successful applicant will be a team player that’s ready to give and receive feedback. You should be a stickler for meeting deadlines and great at multi-tasking, as we balance multiple projects at once. Preference will be given to those with experience in writing for videos or film.

  • An excellent command of English
  • Ability to research and learn about a wide range of topics
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and organizational skills

This particular job needs a bachelor’s degree in creative writing, but since this is hypothetical (and that’s probably the only degree I can stomach), I’ll pretend I have one for this process.
