When Matt Friedman from the Mekong club came to talk to us, I had next to no knowledge about the details of human trafficking. I was just aware of the fact that it existed, and was a relatively serious issue in this world. Matt Friedman brought something up that I was completely unaware of. Millions and millions of people were trafficked around the world, one every four seconds. Something else that I became aware of was that almost none of them were being helped. Only 0.02% of them were being helped. This made me think of it as a very serious issue with very little being done about it. A question that I still have are if and how the Mekong Club actually helps to rehabilitate the people that they help. Another question that I still have is how the Mekong Club learns about where the trafficking occurs. Some actions that I might take are to raise awareness about the issue, and to check policies of companies before buying products.
I think that this is really interesting how you shared what you knew before and what you know now, I like how you incorporated some facts and that you also added to the question you had. I think it could be even better if you could have added more of your opinion on this and on this presentation.
