So,  we’ve just finished the last session of this year. The club decided to do something interesting where we would do a recommendation secret santa – essentially, here you randomly get someone, and then recommend them something that you think they would like. There was one session where we kind of did a speed dating session, where we would get to know what everyone likes, and then use that for our recommendations, however I wasn’t there on that session. So I had to try and figure out what to recommend without any real understanding of what they liked. Essentially, I knew some things about what the person liked, and tried to find stuff that was similar in nature to what I knew they liked. I messed up a bit, since I forgot that they preferred manga over anime, BUT the title that I recommended was both a manga and an anime, so maybe they’ll read it instead of watch it???

Then we did a superlatives for the year that were AMGD related. I naturally expected to not win anything, but apparently I made a big enough impression to win, “most similar to an anime character” and “most likely to escape from an adventure when reincarnated into a protagonist”. I guess that means that I made my mark??? I made enough of an impression for people to actually associate me to some of these things??? That’s good I guess – if anything it means that I have managed to do something that I have struggled with for a long (long) time. It’s progress. And that’s really all that matters.

I guess that I’ve made some progress in areas that are important but often kind of not acknowledged – plus it’s a good confidence boost for uni. This has been a good year… Let’s what happens in the new year!
