The production of Royal Hunt Of The Sun has finally ended. It is such a great feeling knowing that we managed to put on such an amazing show. It is also a slightly sad feeling knowing that all of it is over.

During my roll in the production I collaborated with many people. I found myself collaborating with new people I have never met before. For example I found myself communicating with the technicians and lighting crew of the production, and the costume department, even the assistant director and director. what made it easier to collaborate with all these new faces was staying focused on the task, which was the production. Staying focused allowed us to get tasks done efficiently despite maybe not being so close with one another.

Collaboration was extremely important in achieving our goal, which was to put on the best show we could. Without collaboration between one another we never could have been able to work with one another. And something I learned in my roll was that productions aren’t about each individual person, its about the entire cast and crew as a whole. Without the entire cast working together there would never be a show to preform.

This experience on the production has been one that I will never forget. Putting myself in a completely new environment has been such an amazing experience. At the beginning, when I signed up to become a stage manager, I didn’t entirely know what I was getting myself into. But it was definitely a decision I will not regret and am so thanful to the entire cast and crew for guiding me through the experience.
