Exercise (Activity) L04

During the Singapore circuit breaker, I like with many people had lots more time, and over this time I started an exercise routine which I have been following now for around 6 months during the time this reflection was written. I did exercise such as bicep curls, planks, etc which greatly improved my physical fitness, and gradually over time, my exercises got harder over time as they should. My plank time at the start was only around 3 minutes but now it is at 7 minutes with an additional 3 kg weight.

I had tried exercises like this in the past but I never fully committed to them because I was striving to do things that were beyond my level and it was just quite difficult. And especially after the first time I did my routine, it was very painful to do and maintain. I think the main reason that I was able to maintain my exercise was that when I used to do it it was usually in public parks or gyms. The problem I had was that if I just stopped I would have not really lost anything because outside of commitment I had not put in much else, but when I bought my own equipment I would be losing more than just some time and effort if I did not maintain my exercise, I would be wasting the money I used to buy the equipment. That sense of something being lost if I did not maintain my exercise routine.

Unfortunately, though, I have been doing less of them, I used to do them at least once a day but now it is stretch thin to around twice every week. This is mainly due to a combination of procreation and having a busy school schedule. But I am still thankful that I have managed to keep a semblance of an exercise schedule.
