Day five- Christina Lau

As Christina was talking I felt really connected to her; it could be that fact that I was three feet away from her or that I had a family member with a  similar incident. But there would be sometimes she would really confuse me by unsaying what she had just said. I really loved how she was honest about how she felt about the car crash and how she felt that she was a pain to her family. But the fact she still kept a positive attitude throughout and started to take baby steps one by one; and where she was to where she is now is an incredible achievement.

overall this was an incredible experience, I am also quite sad that writes fortnight is over but it has been an incredible fortnight. I really am excited about next years fortnight. I really can’t wait

Day four-Mukul Deva

I really loved and enjoyed his talk as he was able to keep me thinking, questioning whats going to happen, what is he going to say.I lovImage result for Mukul Devaed his story about him dropping out of school and ending up where he is today is completely incredible. I admired the steps on how to write a book.  The art and the science behind it, they are both totally unlike from one and other in every way. I also love the fact instead of only speaking on about his work, he kept the audience connected by calling at random students to participate. I can now understand why it takes people so long to write a book and why you need to have research than just making it up on the top of your head. It still shocks me he rights a book every year.

Day three-Danny Raven Tan

Image result for raven tanI found Danny’s story of how he had to fight cancer, keeping it away from his parents, having to live off his earnings from only doing art. When I first heard about him and his life, it sounded like something out of a movie and I expected to be let down; but I was intrigued by how thoroughly he kept me connected. I love the way he was able to fight back cancer and start painting again

Day two-Marc Nair

I really loved the way Marc Nair decided to live his life on the edge; as my parents would not be that happiest if I told them I wanted to be a poet and a photographer in Singapore.

He had talked to us about how he writes poems for a professional photographer that sends him photographs. I also love when he started to talk about pollution as he was able to grab my attention rather than make me fall asleep.

Most of my friends found him quite boring but I disagree with them; I love the way he delivered his speech, using different voices at different speeds really kept me intrigued

Righters fortnight

Steven Dawson

When I was watching Steven Dawson, I was actually quite shocked as I found this much more entertaining than a normal talk; by entertaining I mean, I could actually understand what he meant instead of a Ted Talk which really bores me. I really found his five tips really helpful like ask open questions, set the answer free, be a single shooter, never interrupt and especially his last one, that was just listening. As even some people, who can not do the simplest of things like listing without interrupting me mid-sentence.He really gave me some great points that I will be using some day.
