The theme for this year’s dance showcase is Diverge. The 2 dances I’m performing are under the style of jazz and jazz and hip-hop. The story for the first dance is the celebration of solving the biggest conflict in the world.  In the past, people have diverged and demonstrated the capacity to change the world by calling for more diversity in the workforce, encouraging empowerment, and fighting for independence. And we are seeing it again in modern times where the world is being challenged and fighting back again. The second dance is about women’s empowerment. We are celebrating female voices and encourage women to embrace who they are and think about the impact they have on both our current generations but also what they leave for the generations to follow.  Im really excited as Im passionate about the stories of the dances Ill be performing.
