My EE will be based on the impact of participation of women in the 2016 peace process in Colombia. War and conflict as a very significant political issue which involves many actors-quite often negatively, and I was always interested in how they could end through peace processes. Upon this, I came across gender and war theory and how women can have a positive impact on peace, and I thought this would be an interesting topic which I could be seen from different perspectives. I think this topic is significant to the broader context of global politics because although it is paid less attention to, it is also something that holds many possibilities to future conflicts and peacemaking. Since it is my first time to tackle complex information, I think my challenge would be to interpret the information to a level I can understand. However, I would also like to enjoy this process of learning something new to a great depth.
