The Memory Project is an NGO that works towards advocating for intercultural awareness, encouraging friendship and kindness through the form of art. Avid art students and teachers are invited to create pieces of art, portraits of school children, who reside from challenging backgrounds, such as facing the struggle war, abuse and poverty – often enduring isolation, sadness and neglect. This project allows us not only to empathise with the culture and situation of these children, but is also a way for us to let those children know that they are being thought of, and that they matter.
