LO2: Due to the COVID pandemic and lockdowns, my condo’s gym facility was closed for a while over the holidays. Even when it was open, my parents were quite worried about indoor exercising so my only option was to jog at the park, which was not ideal given my usual “workout” to stay fit was at the gym. Anyway, when I came back from the holidays, I was quite unfit compared to before, and thus struggled in football for fitness during the first few sessions. However, I overcame this challenge quite naturally, especially since the regulations began to ease up. I was able to exercise at the gym again, and naturally, I gained my fitness level back as well. Thus I was able to finish my football season with the best physical condition possible!
LO7: As mentioned above, I wasn’t at my best fitness level when I came back for football at the start of the year. Thus, I didn’t perform my best in tryouts, and I got allocated to the B team for the first time in my life. This was quite a shock to me and was demotivating honestly, but I thought to myself that I’d regain my fitness level and earn my way back up to the A-team. My performances in training and the commitment and effort I put in made an impact on the coaches and even came to a point where two coaches came up to me on separate occasions regarding my move up to the A-team. Although this didn’t actually happen since the season ended early due to COVID restrictions heightening up again, I truly believe that my decision to stay committed and principled in an ethical manner to give my best effort in this activity I am participating had a positive effect on my lifestyle and belief as well.
