LO3: As there are head coaches in the U19 rugby team here, it is quite difficult for us students to completely plan out the training sessions or different gameplays. That said however when we were warming up before the game against Dover on Saturday, we were given a small opportunity to warm up however we wanted to and prepare accordingly. Here Adam and I took the initiative and started with a small passing drill whilst running, which was quite good as it not only warmed us up physically but also eased up our ball-handling abilities.
LO4: Towards the end of the season, we were allowed to play 5v5 modified rugby matches with other international schools, which was nice. We played SAS on Wednesday, and Dover on Saturday. I think I showed my commitment to the team by giving my hundred and ten per cent to both the games. Although we weren’t very lucky with the results, in the end, it was very fun to stay committed and actually be able to play a game for once, which was impossible due to COVID these past few years. I think I was very successful in this activity as a result of myself being committed to both the training sessions and games, and I think I performed very well in both matches, scoring a few tries as well!
