Throughout my CAS experience I have been asked this many times, I am fully aware that I may not be the most busy and overachieving student in my grade but regardless paring a bunch of time-consuming extra curricular activities with an already busy and challenging schedule with IB has been hard.  However I do not think frankly my motivation has ever wavered. I must recognise that a part of that is due to me being aware of the benefits it may have in my future in terms of university but the majority of my motivation comes from my love of what I am doing and knowing that ultimately my actions are making a positive difference in someones life. I truly believe that every single aspect of CAS that I am currently a part of is something that I would have done or wanted to do regardless of whether it was mandatory or not, in essence I think CAS has simply given me more of an incentive to take up the opportunities I have to immerse myself in to school culture even more! 🙂
