2 goals for English exam

My first goal is to plan a bit more diligently right when the exam starts and to make sure to read the extract fully. That way I can visualise a much clearer and in depth understanding of the extract. This way I’ll be able to include of everything I annotated much more efficiently. I’d also limit my time spent wasted when thinking for too long.

My second goal is to find a good blend of macro and micro analysis. In most of my essays I either write too much of only one and either my points aren’t fully substantiated with micro, or under developed and looked at with macro. Instead I’d like to approach the essay with somewhat of a more standardised system: I look at a quote and do all forms of micro analysis that I see are prevalent, and then micro analysis on how that directly relates to the prompt and finally macro analysis to connect that with larger themes, concepts and character presences.
