Gathering secondary research was relatively easy as the majority of the information I needed was published online by the Singaporean Government. However, it was much more difficult to collect primary data. A big challenge I faced was actually being brave enough to interview the restaurant managers as I was afraid that they would not want to be interviewed. However I was surprised by how nice and cooperative all of them were, even when they could not give me the information I needed. I learnt from this that I should not be scared to do anything until I actually try. Now that I have received feedback on my draft, the main steps for me to take next includes restructuring my essay and going back to ask the restaurant managers more questions. Now I feel more confident to collect more primary data as I’ve done it before.
