This is going to be a relatively short reflection. I am in Kolkata right now….just finished our first day..super exhausted! Dancing is so hard am I right? Anyway…I realised that I can’t connect with the children as I would have hoped to…I know that I shouldn’t be worried about that, but I think it is a sobering realisation, that I can’t be good at everything. It hurt, but I guess I can try and understand them better..? Maybe tomorrow will be better!

Next day:

Today was better! I had a chance to talk to and meet some of the older people at VOW. I was incredibly inspired by their stories…sometimes, it makes you wonder why you were complaining about anything in the first place…seriously we are so privileged and we should be so very happy with whatever we have in life. There is absolutely no use in complaining about anything at all. We all need to take a step back and reflect upon our priorities in life. One thing is for sure…my priorities are definitely going to change!
