I had to be a thinker whilst researching my topic as the information I was looking for, especially statistics regarding the amount of plastic bag waste in 2019 in Montreal, proved difficult to find. I had to come up with other ways to find information to prove or disprove my theories. One of the methods of finding information was creating and sending a survey to my cousins and aunts in Canada who would send it to people they know who live in Montreal. This would help me get primary data on whether or not the public found a difference in the amount of plastic bags on the streets. I am also trying to look for the difference between the emissions produced by producing thin and thick plastic bags and other scientific research. I also feel like I have developed my communication skills. I have been focusing on my grammar and sentence structure, for example, making my points clear and having evidence and analysis to back up my claims in my essay which are areas in which I haven’t always been strong in the past.
