GEP – Local Service

Aims:

• educating people about periods
• making kits for girls in foreign countries (re usable pads)
• getting girls educated about their rights
• helping girls to not be held back in life by their periods
  • these goals all fall under esteem and social inclusion, as periods are a natural thing, but have such stigma around discussing them. In third world countries, this often results in girls feeling embarrassed about their periods and often times are unable to carry out the tasks of daily life, due to not having the correct sanitary products.

Equality GC –

Aims:

• educating people about the LGBTQ+
• providing safe spaces within the school
  • This falls under self actualization, esteem, and social inclusion. Children are often shunned for questioning their sexualities by their friends and families and feel like they cannot participate in things such a sports due to fear of being outed of of being bullied.
