AIDA Cas Reflection #2 (Lo 4)

How did I show perseverance/resilience/commitment in this activity?

One way in which I demonstrated resilience was in making sure that I practiced the dances for AIDA. This was particularly important for me, as I am not a dancer, however I really enjoy dancing. Throughout the AIDA process, I had to be resilient even when the dances were difficult and finding time to practice them was tough. Doing a production while maintaining school work is tough, but in the end it was more than worth it to be able to produce a great show.

I found that my commitment and perseverance was exercised in that I not only had AIDA, I had Kahaani going on at the same time, which meant that I rarely got a break. It was difficult to juggle, but I persevered with the help of my friends, who recorded lunch time rehearsals for AIDA when I had to be at a lunchtime rehearsal for Kahaani. Even though I was not able to attend certain lunchtime rehearsals, I made sure to practice all the dances at home so that I wouldn’t fall behind.

How did I maintain my motivation for this activity? + How did I help others or how did others help me to stay committed to this activity?

I was fortunate enough to be doing the production with many of my friends, as well as was able to make many new friends in the process. I think that the best way to stay motivated throughout the rehearsal process was simply practicing dances or running lines with friends. We helped each other with the things we needed to practice, as well as were able to motivate each other by making difficult things more enjoyable and fun. It helped me tremendously to have had and made such great friendships during the AIDA process because they made each rehearsal something to look forward to.
