So far, halfway through the Culturama experience, everything has been progressing successfully overall. Our goal since the beginning of Culturama was to perform 3 vastly different Hakas, and I do think we are on track to achieve that goal. However, we have had various issues surrounding the acceptance of students after the audition process. Being dance leaders, we had to work closely with the teachers and students to resolve these issues, which is still persisting. These issues have been a good learning opportunity, especially being a leader, as we must satisfy all parties whilst trying to produce a great Haka performance. As one of my goals is to develop my leadership skills, I think having to experience being a leader in a different scenario like this has been extremely helpful in improving my decision making and leadership capabilities overall, which will hopefully translate into other aspects of my life, notably my Rugby captainship.
