Humour During Dark Times

I find humour to be very important in times like these. It helps make the situation less depressing and frustrating. So instead of thinking that lockdown is horrible, I think it’s ridiculous.

COVID 19 has brought a plethora of memes with it. A lot of people find humour in dark topics, which is strange since topics like COVID 19 and the bush fires in Australia are dealt with seriously. I think when confronted with these issues but in a different context makes us feel uncomfortable or confused enough to make us laugh at how serious it all is.

This virus has given so many opportunities for new jokes and memes. so it feels like all this content is being pushed in our faces. It can feel a bit overwhelming to constantly think about COVID. Also, there are a lot of people making racist jokes about the virus. This can cause harm even if it’s “just a joke”.
