Because the virus broke out, our peace conferences have all been cancelled… I was really looking forward to responsibility, a chance to try out a leadership role and all of our new competences and skills from the IFP training. However, there is nothing we can do, so we have tried to explore new ideas, and figure out ways to have an impact and we have tried to come up with new ideas for projects which we would be possible to carry out (LO7). This has definitely been a challenge, but I feel like we have all been positive and I can of course only speak for myself, but I tried my best to think out of the box while staying realistic and in line with both the UWC and IFP values (LO5 & LO3).

At the moment it is a little confusing in IFP since everything is so unsure and new, but it feels like I know where I would like to be heading, and I have quite clear/concrete ideas. Not everyone does, and therefore it is important that we really support and listen to each other as well as ourselves. It is a sensitive atmosphere since we all react in different ways, and since every idea is welcome and needed, I do my best to give realistic feedback so we don’t get caught up in dreams and passions. As a person who is already very conscious of how I speak, my body language, which words I use and so on, this comes very natural to me, yet it is of course still improving my collaborative and creative thinking skills.
