LO3 INITIATIVE – Planning & initiating activities
What activities did I plan?
I have planned to do extra practice with a combination that I have learned and consistent boxing step practice outside of the training session.
What was the outcome of my planning? How do I know?
My boxing step is becoming much better and I’m started to make a huge improvement with sparring.
How did my plans change as the activity progressed? Why?
My plan was more focused on sparring but I started to make my focus more towards basic training and skillset.
LO 5 COLLABORATION – Working together to achieve an outcome
Who did I collaborate with?
I collaborated with the people that train with me at the same session.
What made it easy or difficult to work together?
It was easy to work together as we all had similar levels of skill. However, the difficult part to work together was the difference in wingspan and weight. It was very hard for me to do good sparring because my weight is very heavy(183cm 92kg) and I get long wingspan.
What challenges did we face when working together?
It was hard that I can’t make my full sparring because the opponent was too small or too light to throw my full-powered punch.
How did we overcome them?
The coach gave me sparring instead over other people.
Why couldn’t we overcome some challenges?
It was hard to overcome because physical ability can’t be improved in short period of time and especially like wingspan which is related to height it is impossible to improve by effort.
What could I do in future to be a more effective team player?
Have more communication and try to understand the opponents view of perspective.
