Picture that describes how your skills are developing // How do you feel about it?

NHRDN - Mumbai Chapter What contributes to the increasing complexity of change

This picture describes how my skills are developing in the sense that I am improving with the help of my peers. My peers help me develop my skills in physical terms and also offer me support in emotional terms. I feel that my skills have been on an upward slope since the beginning of IB since I’ve essentially stopped caring about what other people think of the activities I join and I’m finally doing things I actually enjoy. I feel more confident which helps me develop my skills at a faster pace. Hopefully, this trend continues and I can come out of IB with a set of useful skills.

I joined Yoga Therapy with Tampines MINDS because I wanted to learn more about yoga while also teaching yoga to those with learning difficulties. I thought the service was interesting because I feel like in the environment I am in, (in terms of friends and family) I know little about the abilities of those with learning difficulties as well as how to communicate effectively with those of them who are not able to speak. Not only that, but I am also doing yoga as an activity. It is almost as though I am learning as I help the participants, which helps me grow in my skill as well as my responsibility. I have already learned about how yoga can benefit people in physical and mental terms. Even more so within people with learning difficulties. I wish to help the participants be more comfortable with themselves and others through yoga.
