What is a scholar?

A scholarship is financial aid from a school’s scholarship program funded by school fees or donors for students who don’t have enough money to go to a desired school or university; these students can get a scholarship if they excel in academics or do extraordinary in sports. In UWC, the scholarship program is selected based on their personal commitment to the UWC mission. The selection process is very carefully handled and run by the UWC National committees. Our school scholars had to go through many interviews and activities based on where they are from; different countries have different selection processes. The students in our school who are scholars not only impact themselves but help make UWC a better school. Scholars are what makes our school so special as they have had a different life experience than “day students.”
