Tech Tinkers is a very unique experience that is very different from what I pictured it as before joining. The environment was more alive and fun with students running everything and the teacher just watching over what is happening. However, this service is also very challenging as it puts me in a place with which I am unfamiliar. To figure out how to fix electronics such as computers and other items is very stressful yet interesting and very rewarding when you have succeeded. This service also made me become more of a critical thinker as I had to think outside the box when trying to fix machines that I barely know about (circuits and all I know how a computer works). However, this service requires much collaboration from the students and me, and as students will usually find themselves working together to fix something and it is very rare for someone to fix something alone. To collaborate well within my service I usually went with my friends as I was used to working with them and also they were more familiar with technology during the service. It was originally quite difficult to work with other people as I used to be in the background due to my lack of knowledge of the tech being used in the service. To deal with this I found learned more about the tech being used and also found jobs that were more within my expertise.
