LO 4: Grade 11 Football

I showed commitment and perseverance to a CAS Experience by working my way into the first XI of the team. Unfortunately, I was not picked for the SEASAC team and other than tournaments we played I was only able to play 11-aside football. I started the season on the bench and playing maybe half a game. But through increasingly better performances I was able to work my way into the team and start all the games towards the end of the season. Next year I aim to be in the SEASAC team, which will take perseverance to get over the disappointment of not being selected and improve my game to make sure I am selected next year.

Learning outcome 3: Lighthouse Motor Skills Service

In our service we have to make a plan for the kids and what activities they will do when they come to see us. Planning the activities is one step but actually performing the activities and setting them up is a harder task. But in our service, we plan to see the kids every week, even if they don’t always turn up. We always have our sessions planned beforehand and have the materials in place ready for the sessions. I have planned 2 sessions with my group including the first session we ever had with the kids at our school. I did this in collaboration with my group of 3 people.
