Last year, a large part of our time went into working with LUÜNA, a female-led social enterprise based in Hong Kong, to install free, sustainable pad dispensers in bathrooms at our school. After over a year of hard work from our GEP team, HS Student Council, and LUÜNA’s team, we are very pleased to announce that as of the 17th of September 2024, we have 14 pad dispensers installed across both campuses – 7 at East, and 7 at Dover. These pad dispensers have been installed in girls’ and gender-neutral bathrooms, from the G4&5 bathrooms to the high school bathrooms.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide an unlimited supply of these products, so they are mainly to be used for emergencies. However, we are working toward resolving this, as well as implementing tampon dispensers alongside the pad dispensers.
