What does the Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter say about real life and imagination and art and reality?

In Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter, there is the constant comparison between what is going on in someone’s imagination and the real storyline, and hence the art of the stories that Camacho is writing is compared to the reality of the situation. I think that in the book reality and imagination are two trains that as the book goes on seem to collide against one another. It starts with simple stories about incest, just foreshadowing the eventual marrying of the cousin revealed in the last paragraph. I don’t think this is an accident, the stories seep into the reality of the situation. I think that this is essential to the book’s main message about the idea that art is derived from reality, no matter how ridiculous and insane Camacho’s stories where I think that some of it is always consistent and that part is derived from his real life. Mario’s life slowly but gradually spirals out of control as the stories do. I feel like even though it is Mario’s life and Camacho’s stories are different they are linked.
