The dish I made this week was a minestrone-style soup for a family dinner. I have chosen minestrone because it is a nutritious dish filled with vegetables diced into small pieces which even allows my brother, a massive vegetable-hater, to consume them without noticing.

This allowed me to focus on my knife skills, as mentioned in my goal from last week. Specifically, I worked on mastering ways to dice different vegetables with a variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from onions to mushrooms. This is recorded in this post.

This week, I was able to achieve my goal to focus on knife skills, and mastered a new technique: dicing. My focus for next week is “time-saving and balanced”, as I would like to be able to make a balanced meal in a short period of time. I would also like to continue on improving my knife skills.
