The following are two things about my essay writing that I am proud of:
- My seamless embedding of quotes throughout my essay
- My application of explanation, evidence, effect and analysis and ensuring that it is an organised structure
Through practice, I’ve learned that I am really good at generating thesis strands because I have demonstrated that I can create articulated and interesting ideas and therefore have a successful essay because of my interest in my thesis strand. However, I know I need to work on ensuring I do not repeat some of the analysis I make throughout. I plan to work on this by re-reading what I write and ensuring I always follow the PEEEA structure, I feel as though a lot of practice will also be helpful as well as being strict on myself.

Hi Iona,
Thanks for posting.
You might want to practice writing under timed conditions (similar to what we did in class the last two lessons). Give yourself 5 min for the intro, 15 min for the body paragraphs, etc. See what you can come up with in that timeframe.
As far as practice goes, don’t forget that there is a folder of past exams pinned to the top of the OLP page.
Good luck!
