IB CAS – G11 Review Portfolio Post

Grade 11 (the first year of IB) recently ended, and so did my first 12 months of CAS.

In the span of the past academic year, I have been able to accomplish many things due to the connections I made when I joined this school, my willingness and ability to work/start initiatives, and my want to collaborate.

For this reason, I have mainly been practising leadership positions, the most important of which I believe is in the clubs I manage, where I plan and teach each ‘lesson’. I have done this (and will continue to do this) by organising a folder with all the docs and information relevant to each lesson with a structure of learning. The hard part is to communicate each concept to the students; I’ve tried to do this by sort of imitating my teachers from class and combining that with my own informal style. I used the fact that I’m a student to my leverage, without being too stuck-up and communicating the necessary information in a friendly manner.
