Grade 9’s writing letters to Syrian Refugees

Many students have been sharing their thoughts on the ongoing refugee crisis.

“They already have everything taken away from them because of the war raging on in their country, and now they have nothing left. It’s really terrible.”

Fynn, a Grade 9, seeks to highlight the bleak reality of the Syrian situation.

“It’s really saddening and really upsetting. It’s incredibly unfair that I have more than what I need and they hardly have anything. It’s really terrible that they have to go through all of this, but it makes me grateful of what I have, and I want to help them.”

Noshin takes a more personal approach, underlining the role each of us fails to play in the lives of these refugees, but also the role we could play.
