What has been the biggest challenge within CAS so far? What might you do to improve this?
Recently all after-school activities have been moved online due to Covid-19. As a reesult it’s been a challenge to keep moving forward in activities such as the First Robotics Club and Innovation Club since such an intergral part of the experience is acutally being in DT, designing and building. Despite this we’ve found ways to overcome these difficulties, for example in FRC we took the opportunity to focus on learning how to use Computer Aided Design (CAD), working through online courses and competing together in friendly design competitions. Below you can see some of the designs that were made by our team of a stool. The competition was a great way to introduce both the competitive and team spirit which are crucial during the actual building phase of the competition.
Furthermore, the Pre season tennis team sessions were cancelled which has led to me focusing on both bozing and home workouts as a way to develop my fitness.
