Having received feedback on my first draft, I have realised that my research process was too detailed. I began to digress from my topic, discussing things in my EE that were not entirely relevant. As a result, the more important aspects were less well developed. I therefore learnt the importance of consistently referring back to the topic when researching and asking yourself “how does this relate?” When researching, I developed the skill using the works cited by an author as a jumping off point for deeper research/understanding. This makes the process of finding relevant academic papers shorter as there is no need to sift through a vast amount. I believe my understanding of psychology has changed dramatically because of my new understanding that there are always anomalies and results can always be affected by alternative variable. My understanding on the ambiguity and lack of certainty in psychology has developed which is important for my ability to critically analyse studies.
