Engaging in Volleyball SEASAC was a really eye-opening experience for me in that I was exposed to situations I have never been in before. Specifically, captaining a team in a sport which I am not the most comfortable in and with a team of individuals of varying backgrounds and levels. I think I achieved learning outcome 1 – LO1-Identify their own strengths and develop areas for growth – with this tournament because after each match, as the captain, I had to reflect on our strengths and weaknesses in order to keep improving. I think we really grew together as a team after this competition because it entailed spending an excessive amount of time with the team which we hadn’t done before.
