(CAS PROJECT) Drama Tech for Snow in Midsummer – Investigation, #LO2 #LO3

Snow in Midsummer is this year’s main High-school production co-directed by a student. Snow in Midsummer is a contemporary re-imagining of one of the most famous Chinese classical dramas. As part of Drama Tech, our job is to help imagine and bring life to the play through the use of stage and props.

When initially signing up for this activity, I chose to join as it gave me an opportunity to be involved in the school production. The initial sign up and introduction to this activity was very different to what I had experienced in the past. I had made the decision to be involved in constructing the Dragon for the production.

Being given this task, we had to research the play itself and speak with the directors to learn more about the context and meaning of the play. This is something I had not done before, and thus, was a challenge that I had taken on. In order to approach the task, we researched and planned our vision for the Dragon and how we could possibly construct it.
