Ballet 12.3.19

Last October I took my exam for Intermediate Foundation to get into the Intermediate level. We received our results and everyone has passed with a merit or distinction. I was expecting to pass the exam with a basic certificate but I scored a merit 🙂 My exam results have encouraged me to continue with my ballet training and to challenge myself with a highly demanding hobby, both physically and mentally. I’ve also learned that I’m capable of partaking in this activity even though I am not as technically skilled as my classmates and the fact that I started dance at an older age. Also, I’m thankful for my teacher as she put time into planning our classes and that she wants all her students to succeed, regardless of their level of ability.

I think studying ballet or any dance is a valuable experience because it is very rewarding. I’ve learned to appreciate it more because it helps me to regain my confidence and push my perseverance and commitment in any activity. Moreover, it is physically gratifying because over time we are pushed to maintain an incredible posture, improved coordination, endurance, and flexibility.
