Tabitha GC Reflection 1

Through my involvement in this GC for five years, I have willingly adopted different roles throughout the course my participation from being the Chair/Vice-Chair to the Finance Officer to the Logistics Officer this term. (LO5). Although the Enterprise Officer is required to attend meetings with the Service Exec, I have been flexible in readily helping others in the GC to arrive at our shared goal of raising funds and awareness for Tabitha. I have recently encountered LO7- as I attended the Sustainable Enterprise Consultants meeting both from the perspective of a GC stakeholder and that of a Leader of Environmental Advocacy and Protection. This had significant implications because as a member of LEAP I already had a critical eye on the self-assessment criteria which hindered my ability look at it positively. Nonetheless, in this endeavour, I recognised this ethical issue as requiring solving by trying consciously to look at it from the GC’s point of view. (LO7)
